Theres a leak on the PVC lid on my holding tank, and I'm considering to replace it with a fiberglass lid from Pacific Seacraft, bedded with 5200 as they recommend. Has anyone done this on a PSC 34? How doable is this?

It's doable if you've got the patience. Are you gonna do it alone or with someone else? Before anything, keep the mating surfaces clean and dry or your 5200 will be useless lol.

What kind of prep did you need to do on the tank surface before bedding the fiberglass lid with 5200, did you rough it up, clean with solvent, or need to reinforce anything?

Yup doable, and many owners have done it to stop leaks for good. Bedding it with 5200 is grat advice, be sure though, that everything is clean and dry before applying. The hardest part is usually removing the old lid and cleaning off the old sealant, but once thats done, the new one fits well and seals tight.
