My favorites are the 37 and 34. The Mariah 31 is also on my list.
I am 47 and hoping I can purchase a sailboat, refit the boat, provision, and set sail in five years. Never to return to land again lol.
Really though, I have over a decade in commercial HVAC experience. Experience in water-source systems as well. I know some yachts use water loops for their cooling. I like the idea of being the AC/refrigeration guy at the anchorage and doing work when I need to.
I don't even know how to sail yet. But, I grew up in Florida and owned a motor boat on the gulf for many years. Loved the sea and never got seasick. And I've watched enough sailing videos to know this is my destiny.
Anyone ever buy a sailboat and sail off in your forties or fifties, leaving hustle and bustle of normal life behind?
